Description
Grief is our natural response to any major loss, not just bereavement. As such, grief is a common but often overlooked aspect of working life. This course is designed to help prepare managers, HR professionals, and colleagues to effectively support those who are grieving and navigate the challenges associated with loss in the workplace.
Unresolved grief can have serious consequences for mental health and well-being, and at times, even for physical health. A genuine commitment to employee wellness must therefore consider the significant impact of loss and grief, whether due to a death or other forms of loss in an employee’s life.
This course addresses these sensitive and complex issues, providing you with the knowledge and tools to offer compassionate support. It emphasizes how common grief-related challenges are, and highlights the importance of a supportive work environment. Many people feel tempted to avoid addressing grief out of uncertainty or discomfort, leaving grieving colleagues unsupported at their most vulnerable. This course will equip you with the confidence and understanding to step in and offer meaningful assistance.
Being prepared to handle grief appropriately is essential for fostering a caring, supportive, and resilient workplace, where employees feel valued and supported even during difficult times.
Who This Course Is For:
- Managers and HR professionals who want to create a supportive workplace for grieving employees.
- Employees who wish to support grieving colleagues and foster a culture of empathy and wellness in the workplace.
